C’est rien de moins qu’un nouveau quartier l\u00e9visien qui appara\u00eet avec le nouveau campus universitaire de L\u00e9vis, estime la mairesse suppl\u00e9ante de L\u00e9vis, Anne Ladouceur.<\/strong><\/p>\n
\u00ab C’est la concr\u00e9tisation d’un plan d’am\u00e9nagement d’un nouveau quartier effectivement \u00bb, a soulign\u00e9 Mme Ladouceur, \u00e0 l’occasion de la f\u00eate tous azimuts qui a marqu\u00e9 l’inauguration du campus l\u00e9visien de l’Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Rimouski (UQAR<\/a>), cette semaine.<\/p>\n
\u00ab Ce qui appara\u00eet ici, avec bient\u00f4t le centre des congr\u00e8s et d’exposition, c’est la synergie de tout un secteur. La ville de L\u00e9vis se positionne non seulement au niveau r\u00e9gional mais aussi m\u00e9tropolitain \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 grands traits la num\u00e9ro de l’administration Roy-Marinelli.<\/p>\n
C’est de longue date que la Ville de L\u00e9vis a imagin\u00e9 faire du secteur un nouveau quartier, le grand axe de desserte du boulevard Alphonse-Desjardins et un zonage grande surface \u00e2\u20ac\u201c ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place du temps de l’ancienne Ville, par l’administration du maire Denis Guay.<\/p>\n
Situ\u00e9 justement sur ce boulevard menant \u00e0 l’autoroute Jean-Lesage, le campus L\u00e9vis de l’UQAR est d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 sur quatre \u00e9tages comptant 14 400 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s. Il comprend tous les locaux d’enseignement et de recherche, une biblioth\u00e8que, une caf\u00e9t\u00e9ria, un amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre et un centre sportif requis pour une institution de haut savoir. R\u00e9solument moderne, notamment chauff\u00e9 et climatis\u00e9 par g\u00e9othermie, \u00e9galement \u00e9quip\u00e9 de capteurs solaires, le nouvel immeuble construit et g\u00e9r\u00e9 par le Groupe commercial AMT repr\u00e9sente un investissement de 25 millions $.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n
\u00ab Un v\u00e9ritable tr\u00e9sor d’architecture, illumin\u00e9 et a\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00bb a constat\u00e9 le recteur de l’UQAR, Michel Ringuet. Pour les quelque 2500 \u00e9tudiants et le corps professoral du nouveau campus, c’est deux fois plus d’espace qu’ils n’en disposaient quand ils \u00e9taient h\u00e9berg\u00e9s dans les locaux du Coll\u00e8ge de L\u00e9vis.<\/p>\n
De l’avis de Mme Ladouceur, l’institution de la maison d’enseignement du vieux-L\u00e9vis et l’ancien quartier ne perdront pas \u00e0 attendre. \u00ab Il va y avoir des choses qui vont se passer l\u00e0 aussi. L’administration de Danielle Roy-Marinelli n’a pas l’intention de laisser quiconque pour compte \u00bb, a-t-elle affirm\u00e9, \u00e9voquant des projets \u00e0 venir dans les secteurs de la Traverse, de la rue B\u00e9gin et au vieux Coll\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n
Pour l’heure, le complexe du centre des congr\u00e8s et d’exposition, qui comprendra \u00e9galement un h\u00f4tel quatre \u00e9toiles et un \u00e9difice \u00e0 bureaux, est en train de prendre forme. Son stationnement souterrain est b\u00e9tonn\u00e9 et sa structure d’acier a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre dress\u00e9e, structure s’\u00e9levant sur six \u00e9tages et qui sera un des points culminants de L\u00e9vis. De quoi pouvoir y \u00ab observer le Ch\u00e2teau Frontenac \u00bb, a not\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 immobili\u00e8re Site, Florent Fortier, qui construit le complexe.<\/p>\n
\u00ab Nous sommes tout \u00e0 fait dans les d\u00e9lais. Tout sera pr\u00eat au plus tard le 1er juin 2008. D\u00e9j\u00e0, des activit\u00e9s sont pr\u00e9vues \u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 M. Fortier, pr\u00e9cisant que les Pl\u00e9iades, \u00e9v\u00e9nement annuel de la Chambre de commerce de L\u00e9vis qui r\u00e9unit les milieux d’affaires de la r\u00e9gion, s’y d\u00e9roulera le 23 mai.<\/p>\n
Il est pr\u00e9vu que le complexe devienne un pivot du nouveau quartier dont l’aspect pourra s’apparenter \u00e0 celui du Campaniles, \u00e0 Sainte-Foy, \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec, avec des boutiques, des restaurants, des halles. Et des lieux d’habitation qui pourront h\u00e9berger des \u00e9tudiants du Campus L\u00e9vis.<\/p>\n
Il est question \u00e0 terme d’investissement totaux de l’ordre de 100 millions $.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
